DeKalb County Deputies, Crossville Police Department, Alabama State Troopers and Drug Task Force agents made 4 arrests Friday afternoon as officers made several traffic stops and Drug Task Force agents followed up on an investigation.

According to Dekalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, Drug Task Force agents arrested 33-year old Jason Andrew Kilpatrick of Fyffe and charged him with Unlawful Manufacturing of Controlled Substance II after he was found in possession of chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Kilpatrick was observed acting in a suspicious manner by agents as he was acquiring materials in Fort Payne.

Kilpatrick was removed from his vehicle for safety reasons and agents saw the ingredients in plain view

He was taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center where he awaits bond.

Meanwhile, 54-year old Michael S. Stimpson of Sand Rock was arrested after a traffic stop by Alabama State Troopers and Deputies on County Road 83.

Stimpson was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a consent search uncovered what appeared to be meth and paraphernalia.

He was booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center on bonds totaling $9,000.

In another case, a Crossville Police officer made a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of 24-year old Jennifer Tidmore and 21-year old Tyler Mark Johnson, both of Crossville.

DeKalb deputies assisted the Crossville officer in a search of a residence after the traffic stop.

Agents found finished product from a meth lab at the residence and charged Johnson and Tidmore with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where they remain awaiting bond.
