Cherokee County High School has a new Principal.
Tuesday night, the Cherokee County Board of Education voted to hire current Assistant Principal Seth Neyman for the job.
Neyman says he looks forward to working with staff and students in his new role.
He adds that he has enjoyed working with current Principal Doug Davis.
Also Tuesday night, Superintendent Mitchell Guice took time to honor staff members who are retiring.
They include Cherokee County High’s Jill Bailey, who is retiring after 26 years with the system; Gary Davis, an English Teacher at Cherokee County High who is retiring after 21 years and Jan Johnson of the Career and Tech Center, who is retiring after 25-years.
Guice added that all three educators will be missed.
