Mrs. Brenda Gail Mayes, age 58 of Gaylesville passed away Sunday, May 5th at her residence.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mike Odom, Bro. Frank Crane and Bro. Kenneth Crane officiating; burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers include Charles Abernathy, Jason Mayes, Timmy Ray, Darrell Wells, Roger Patty and Austin Ray.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Billy Mayes; son, Nickey (Charity) Mayes of Gaylesville; brother, Wayne (Kay) Crane of Centre; sisters, Linda (Fred) Daniel of Cedar Bluff, Mary (Dennis) Tierce of Spring Garden, Edna Barnes of Centre; 1 granddaughter, Sabrina Mayes; several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Mayes was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Jessie Bell and Gertie Lou Sanford Crane and was of the Baptist faith.
