A Floyd County woman and her boyfriend have been convicted with murder in the death of a two-year-old child.
22-year old Heather Brittany Parker and 28-year old Eric Castro were found guilty Thursday on multiple charges including murder and 1st degree cruelty to children.
Court records claim that two-and-a-half-year-old Kailee Marie Parker suffered severe and prolonged abuse at the hands of her mother and Castro.
An autopsy revealed the child sustained major head injuries, which led to her death on June 25th of last year.
At their sentencing next week, both Castro and Parker could face a lifetime in prison without the chance of parole.
