JSU Baseball Series Opener VS Belmont – 4:00pm Friday

JSUJACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State baseball team’s game against Belmont on Friday has been moved up to 4 p.m. in an attempt to avoid a rainy forecast in the Calhoun County area.

The National Weather Service has advised Jacksonville State officials rain is expected in Calhoun County on Friday evening. First pitch was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Gamecocks (25-19, 17-4 Ohio Valley Conference) are currently in first place in the OVC, just ahead of Tennessee Tech and Belmont. The Bruins are currently third in the league, but just one-game behind the first-place Gamecocks.

The two teams will play three games at Rudy Abbott Field this weekend with game two at 2 p.m. on Saturday and the final game is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.
