According to a news release from the Alabama Department of Corrections an inmate has escaped from the Birmingham Community Based Facility.
Clydie May Johnson, originally from DeKalb County, remains unaccounted for – after it became clear that she wasn’t at her job site in Leeds, as of 11:30 Sunday morning; a subsequent search of the area failed to turn up the woman.
Johnson was serving a 15 year sentence for forgery out of DeKalb County on July 28th of 2011.
She has a scheduled parole date coming up this November, and a minimum release date has been set for November of 2015.
Johnson is a white female, standing five-feet-five, weighing approximately 250 pounds – and has hazel eyes and brown hair.
