ESCAPEE SOUGHT

According to a news release from the Alabama Department of Corrections an inmate has escaped from the Birmingham Community Based Facility.

Clydie May Johnson, originally from DeKalb County, remains unaccounted for – after it became clear that she wasn’t at her job site in Leeds, as of 11:30 Sunday morning; a subsequent search of the area failed to turn up the woman.

Johnson was serving a 15 year sentence for forgery out of DeKalb County on July 28th of 2011.

She has a scheduled parole date coming up this November, and a minimum release date has been set for November of 2015.

Johnson is a white female, standing five-feet-five, weighing approximately 250 pounds – and has hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information on her current whereabouts is urged to contact your local law enforcement officials.
