Boaz Police believe a shooting at a business that left one person dead may have been an accident.
Boaz Police Chief Terry Davis says that 30-year old Patrick Daniel Garrett of Albertville was shot inside Extreme Concepts, located at 438 U.S. 431, at about 6:10 p.m. Thursday.
Garrett was pronounced dead at Marshall Medical Center and an autopsy will be performed.
The suspected shooter was taken in for questioning.
No charges have been filed.
However, an investigation into the incident is ongoing and details of the case will be submitted to the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office and may be presented to a grand jury soon.
Davis said initial information obtained at the scene point to the shooting as being accidental.
