Firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a car fire at City Pawn in the Cherokee Plaza after a sheriff’s deputy reported it to 9-1-1 just before noon on Thursday. The vehicle was already heavily envolved in flames as Centre’s Engine 9 arrived on scene.
It appears that no one was injured. Centre Police also responded to the scene. It is no known at this time what started the fire.
