Gadsden- A call went out for an early morning structure fire in the Alabama City community of Gadsden Sunday Morning. Gadsden and Attalla Fire units were dispatched to a house on fire located on East Wilkinson Avenue at 12:24 AM.
The first Gadsden units arrived quickly on scene in just a minute at 12:25 AM. When units arrived, smoke and flames were visible, and the house was 75 percent involved. Engine 7, Rescue 2, Engine 5, Quint 4 and Battalion Chief 1 all responded.
Attalla Fire also sent units for mutual aide.
Power lines were down on scene, and utilities were called as well, though it is unclear if power was being supplied to the home at this time.
The home was determined to be vacant, and currently for sale. No injuries were reported to anyone in the home, or with responding units.
The Fire Marshall responded, and the cause of the blaze which is unknown at this time is under investigation.
The home was determined to be a 100 percent loss.
