James “Jamie” Scott age 80 of Centre passed away Tuesday March7th at Grandview Hospital.
Graveside services will be 4 PM Friday March 10th at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Rick Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 3:45 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Rodney Scott, Greg Scott, Kevin Crane, Casey Scott, Charles Spears, Jimmy Scott, Bobby Paul and Jason Patty. Honorary Pallbearers will be former Walmart coworkers and former Shivette coworkers.
Survivors include son, Nathan (Jennifer) Scott; grandsons, Daegan and Rucker Scott; sister, Margie (Roy) Crane; brother, Sammy (Becky) Scott; his dog, Remington; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Travis West, Joe Scherich and BBQ Place Ladies.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Scott; son, Mark Scott; brothers, Bobby, Joe Benny and Allen Scott.
Mr. Scott was a lifelong resident of Centre and the son of the late Cliff and Edna Scott.
Jamie was loved by so many and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He loved his grandsons more than anything. He was their biggest fan. He never missed a game they played. Jamie never met a stranger. He had many lifelong friends from his former jobs and his mowing business. The family would like to say thank you for all the prayers during this time.
The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Centre.
